My various photos taken. Mostly during bike rides and the like. Enjoy!

One of my favorites. A true gem. Great place to not only bike, but hike, and go horseback riding as well.

Take the 101 north out of L.A. Exit at Cheeseboro-just before Kanan-Dune. Take a right off of the freeway and at the first stop sign take another right. When you drive into the Old Agoura neighborhood, you’ll be on Cheseboro Road (paved). Head up the tight road for about a mile then you will see on your right the entrance to the National Recreation Area. You can park outside the gates or you can drive up to the parking lot for more parking. The first paved parking area we’ll call the “lower parking lot”. If you drive further in you’ll get to the dirt area, or “upper parking lot”.
The trail offers a wide variety of obstacles. There are several trails you can offshoot from the main sulfur springs one. Other trails offer steep climbs, technical single track descents, or easy rolling rides for beginners. Towards the end of sulfur springs trail there are some really cool single track obstacles if you like rocks and jumping over things. This place is really cool it has everything climbs, descents, single tracks (although not enough), and easy rolling trails for others.

One of the top 2 or 3 places to ride in all of Southern California. Trails range from the all-flat Sycamore trail, to “The Guad” and “Hell Hill”. A must-ride for Mountain Bikers, and a must-visit for hikers.

This State Park can be accessed from 2 very different areas. From the beach side use Highway 1 (PCH) and head north of the L.A. county line to Point Mugu. Head up to Sycamore Canyon State Campground. They have hot showers & flush toilets. The trail head is at the top of the campground not hard to find.

The Caballero Canyon Trail is a quite short but very fun singletrack. Some sections are a bit rocky and most of it is a good climb, so novices and even some intermediate riders will find it to be quite a challenge. The trailhead starts on the east side of Reseda Blvd, a couple of miles south of the 101 Freeway, almost directly across the street from the Braemar Country Club. There is quite a bit of parking on both sides of the street.

The Caballero Canyon Trail is the most popular entrance to this section of trails so there is a lot of traffic on it, both bikers and hikers, so please slow down, be careful and be courteous to other people on the trail!
